brittnee alexus hair 165 views 1 days ago
Highlights (7)
This tutorial shows how to create a middle part and small triangular section before dividing the hair into three bang sections. The bangs are shaped with diagonal point cutting rather than a blunt straight cut to create texture and a gradual transition. The video also demonstrates checking the balance and styling the bangs with a round brush and Velcro roller.
- Create a small triangular bang section
- Be careful of shrinkage on wet or curly hair
- Use diagonal point cutting for a softer texture
- Style with a round brush and Velcro roller

brittnee alexus hair 61 views 1 weeks ago
Highlights (5)
This educational video reviews skin structure and growth from Chapter 3 of the Milady cosmetology textbook. It explains the epidermis, dermis, and subcutaneous layer, along with the epidermal layers and the roles of melanin, collagen, elastin, sebaceous glands, and sweat glands. It also clarifies that cosmetologists may perform services such as waxing and facials but cannot diagnose conditions or prescribe medicine.
- The skin has three main layers: epidermis, dermis, and subcutaneous tissue.
- The epidermis is divided into five layers, with the stratum corneum helping form the skin barrier.
- Melanin influences skin, hair, and eye color and provides protection from the sun.
- Collagen supports the skin, while elastin provides flexibility and stretch.
- The six major skin functions include protection, sensation, heat regulation, excretion, secretion, and absorption.

brittnee alexus hair 149 views 4 weeks ago
Highlights (7)
The video compares inexpensive dry shampoos from Dollar Tree and Walmart based on ingredients, scent, oil absorption, residue, and appearance. Some products leave heavy white powder and buildup, while Dove and Equate perform better overall. The creator explains that dry shampoo masks oil rather than cleaning the hair, so regular clarifying shampoo is important with frequent use.
- The Dollar Tree product leaves heavy white residue and ranks last
- Dove is the favorite aerosol dry shampoo
- Equate is presented as the best budget option
- Batiste Midnight Magic is intended for darker hair

The finished heavy, straight line can create the appearance of more density in fine or thin hair.

how to use ION toner additives (toners you mix with bleach)

brittnee alexus hair 185 views 1 months ago
Highlights (7)
This video explains how to mix ION toner additives directly into a lightening formula instead of applying toner as a separate step. Vanilla and Silver Smoke are tested on medium brown hair, while Cool Porcelain and Lilac Crystal are tested on dark hair. Vanilla gives a natural neutral result and Lilac produces a pretty wearable color, but the additives may not eliminate the need for a follow-up toner and lightening can damage hair.
- Mix toner additives directly into lightener
- Vanilla is intended for levels 6–7
- Silver Smoke helps counter orange tones
- Cool Porcelain and Lilac Crystal are for levels 3–5
- Additives help control warmth but do not always replace toner
