Once I tried it, I understood why it was rumored to make makeup go on better. Even though it's a lotion, it gives the skin just the right amount of glow, and I think the oils are why it's moisturizing enough on its own. It makes my skin feel soft and bouncy. But it's not like the oils make your fingers glide over your skin. It's not exactly sticky either, but it feels like it really adheres to the skin. I think that's why makeup applies so well over it and gives a glowy finish. It spreads really well, so I apply a little at a time and adjust the amount as I go.

🥕 Carrot Carotene Calming Water Pad Review I was looking for a hydrating pad and tried this one, and I liked that it had more essence than I expected! 💧 The pads are soft and don't cause much irritation, so they were fine to use even on days when my skin was sensitive. I prefer placing them on my cheeks or forehead like a mask rather than using them to wipe my face☺️ My skin does feel hydrated and soft after using them, but you might be a little disappointed if you're expecting an amazing calming effect🥲 Rather than noticeably reducing redness or breakouts, they just made my skin feel comfortable and hydrated. Also, the pads are pretty saturated, so they felt a little slippery when wiping, and they weren't quite moisturizing enough to use on their own. Still, a decent product for a light boost of hydration and calming! 💚 Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I'm satisfied with these as hydrating daily pads! But rather than expecting dramatic results, I think it's best to think of them as easy-to-use calming and hydrating pads :)

I tried this while looking for something that would help my makeup go on better, and I honestly liked it way more than I expected 🥹🌹 After I apply it, my skin texture feels smoother and more refined, so my base seems to go on so much prettier the next day!! It leaves a protective layer, so people who don't like a heavy feel might not be into it. I have thin skin and like barrier cream-type products, so for me, it's the ideal texture for fall and winter. ・How it feels It spreads easily and can be worked into the skin without friction. It's on the heavier side, but it isn't sticky or slimy. I liked it because I get stressed out when my skin feels slick forever. ・Changes in my skin Since it's a cream focused on moisturizing, it isn't the kind of product that causes dramatic changes. If I use it when my skin feels vaguely off because of dryness...it seems to keep things from getting any worse. An unsung hero. I used these to wipe my face in the morning and to cool down my cheeks. Out of all the Skinfood toner pads, these are my favorite! When I use them on my cheeks, it feels like my skin is really soaking up the moisture, and I especially recommend using them before applying makeup. I also recommend wiping your neck and other areas after using them as a mask. The pad gets pretty dark, so it feels like it's really wiping everything off. I think these pads are easy to use even for people who are concerned about dryness. The pads are nice and thick, so they're easy to use for wiping as well. They aren't exactly dripping wet, but they stayed thoroughly saturated with the liquid right to the very end.

I used to use this. At the time, there still weren't that many hyaluronic acid serums, and this one was getting buzz for being good before makeup, so I bought it! It's not particularly bad, but I don't feel like there's any reason it has to be this one. It's not like it isn't moisturizing, but it wasn't moisturizing enough to make me feel like, wow, my skin is so hydrated! There are lots of other hyaluronic acid serums now, so I'm using other ones.

I use it less often in summer, but I love it year-round, and especially in spring, fall, and winter I love using it as the final step in my skincare before makeup. It doesn't make my makeup crease even if I don't wait or blot it with a tissue, it works well with any base, it never pills, and of course my makeup doesn't break up from dryness either✨✨ I also use it a lot in my nighttime skincare routine, so I go through it super fast and absolutely always need backups🩷
