AlbionSkin Conditioner Essential NI've repurchased this several times, and it's one of my favorites. It works really well with Albion's emulsion. When I use it in the morning, it reduces redness and smooths out my skin, so I feel like my makeup goes on better. It has a cooling sensation, so it feels nice to apply. I especially recommend using it in the morning. I'm not really sure how effective it is at preventing skin irritation, but it calms my skin even when it's irritated, and I can use it without worrying because it doesn't sting. It may not be enough for those who prioritize moisturizing power. Reviewer's skin type↓ Dry skin/Sensitive skin/Formerly had atopic dermatitis/Thin skin

MatsuyamaM-mark Amino Acid Infusion TonerEven though it's a watery toner, it absorbs well into my skin and keeps it hydrated. The fact that it's fragrance-free makes it easy to use, and there aren't really many downsides to this toner. The only drawback is that it stings if it gets in my eyes.

VT CosmeticsLuminous Skin PackHonestly, it felt pretty average—neither good nor bad! It didn't feel bad to use, and it was decently moisturizing, so there wasn't anything in particular that bothered me. But compared to other sheet masks, I didn't really notice any features that made me think, "It has to be this one!" Personally, I don't think there's any particular reason to go out of my way to choose this one 🤔 But I really like how thin the sheet is! Because it's so thin, it fits snugly against the skin and doesn't lift or slide around easily, which was nice. It also seems easy to use while doing other things ◎ My honest opinion is, "It's not bad, but if I were to repurchase, I'd probably choose something else!"

Skin&LabEctoin Milky Cream TonerIt’s a toner, but it feels like an emulsion! I really love it for fall and winter 🤍 Even though it’s a toner, it’s super milky, with a soft, syrupy texture. With ectoin, beta-glucan, and panthenol, it makes sense that the formula focuses on hydration. It has some viscosity, but it doesn’t feel heavy, and it feels like it sinks right in when you work it into your skin. It’s not sticky, but it leaves my skin moisturized and plump, which I absolutely loved ♡ It’s to the point where I feel like I might not even need an emulsion on lighter skincare days. It barely has any scent, so it’s easy to use. After applying it to my face, I just keep spreading it down over my décolletage and then my arms 😂 There’s 200 ml, so I also love that I can use it generously ◎ I especially recommend it for fall and winter, when skin tends to get dry. I discovered it as a freebie, but it’s honestly become one of my favorites 🤍 Repurchase: Yes ◎

AlbionSkin Conditioner Essential NI've been using and loving this for well over 10 years, since I was in my 20s. It's the skincare product I've repurchased more than anything else in my life—my holy grail skincare. My skin is just so much calmer when I use this than when I don't. When my skin feels like it's about to act up, using Skin Conditioner Essential N keeps it calm and makes my skin feel balanced. It's not like, super moisturizing! It makes your skin plump and bouncy! But it does help prevent irritation, hydrate, and keep my skin healthy✨️ Skin Conditioner Essential N claims to “balance and maintain healthy skin,” and I think that's exactly what it does. It feels cool and refreshing, and it's especially fresh and soothing to use in summer🫧 It's also perfect for sunburned skin☀️ I'm not really prone to acne, but I think that might be thanks to using Skin Conditioner Essential N consistently. It finally became available to buy online this year, so now it's even easier to get🙌 I'll keep using it from here on out🌟

IPSAThe Time R Aqua EThe sample was so good that I ended up spending 5,500 yen on a toner. I used to be all about affordable toners, but I really liked how the sample felt, so I bought the full size. My skin is thin and prone to dryness, and it often feels like it's lacking moisture, but I like how this makes my skin feel thoroughly replenished and hydrated after using it. It's not a sticky, heavy kind of moisture—it feels fresh and dewy. It's been about three months since I bought it, and I've been alternating it with other toners, but so far it's a firm favorite. In terms of comparing products under the Shiseido umbrella, I also tried SHISEIDO Eudermine Activating Essence, and to me, it felt somewhat similar in the sense that it “hydrates with a fresh, dewy feel and leaves my skin balanced.” Eudermine is 9,900 yen for 145 mL, while IPSA is 5,500 yen for 200 mL. Of course, they're different products, so you can't compare them directly, but when it comes to what I want from a toner—“the feeling that my skin has been thoroughly replenished with moisture,” IPSA is extremely satisfying. The packaging is so beautiful that I'd just assumed it cost over 10,000 yen, so the fact that I saw 5,500 yen and thought, “That's surprisingly cheap!” means my sense of money is completely broken 👼 It's scary that my toner budget keeps going up and up, but this is a contender for a repurchase even after I finish it.

CelimaxThe Real Noni Moisture Balancing TonerI bought this when I was struggling with problem skin and kept using it for a long time! It feels more soothing than moisturizing, so I think it's gentle to use when your skin is acting up! Best for oily skin!!

IPSAThe Time R Aqua EI love this product and have repurchased it 3 or 4 times. Lately I've only been using Korean products, so I haven't gotten to use this, but when I do, my skin feels like it's filled with moisture, and it's such a good product that it makes me think, this really is the one! It's just slightly viscous, but basically very watery. It's a product that helps your skin retain more moisture, so I think it's good for people with dehydrated skin or anyone who wants to boost hydration. It's a basic product, and I think it'll probably work for a lot of people's skin.

NaturieHatomugi Skin ConditionerGreat value, so you can splash it on generously ◎ The huge 500 ml bottle means you can use as much as you want without holding back! It feels light and watery, and it really came in handy when my skin felt hot or irritated. It doesn't feel very irritating, and the simple formula is reassuring ◎ Moisturizing-wise, it's so-so, I guess? Rather than deeply moisturizing, it feels like it gives your skin an initial boost of hydration. I recommend sealing it in with an emulsion or cream afterward. When my skin isn't doing well or I want to keep my summer skincare light, I like the first thing that touches my skin to be something simple like this ☺️ Would repurchase: Yes ◎

AEQUWACalming Glow TonerIt's watery and absorbs into the skin right away. It's refreshing, so it might not be moisturizing enough during dry seasons. I recommend it for people with combination or oily skin. It leaves my skin feeling plump after application. My skin was irritated and red from acne, but after a few hours, it had calmed down and the redness was gone. It feels similar to Anua's toner, but while Anua's toner didn't calm my skin, this toner worked, maybe because it suited my skin better. I recommend it for anyone struggling with acne. Using it as part of my skincare before makeup gives me glowing skin.

Clé de Peau BeautéLotion Essentielle AA moisturizing toner formulated with their proprietary Precious Rice Koji Ferment Extract (for hydration). The gold bottle is beautiful✨ They recommend three pumps, applied with either a cotton pad or your hands. I prefer pressing it in with my hands. It has a slightly thick texture but absorbs well🥰 It leaves my skin moisturized, and the fragrance is gentle and not too strong. I have dry skin, so this is a staple for me. It's pricey, but you get 170 ml, so it lasts quite a while.

MatsuyamaHadauru Moisturizing Infusion Balancing LotionMy whole family shares and uses this at my parents' house. Above all, it's very gentle, and the best thing about it is that it absorbs gently without stinging, even when my skin is irritated or during seasons when it's prone to sensitivity. It's not sticky, but it thoroughly moisturizes all the way to the stratum corneum and helps calm my skin down. Anyone can use it comfortably regardless of age or skin type, so I think it's perfect for at-home skincare for the whole family. We plan to keep repurchasing it as a staple at my parents' house.

NaturieHatomugi Skin ConditionerIt has a light, watery texture that absorbs right into the skin! It isn't sticky, and even if you use a lot, it doesn't feel heavy, which is great. It feels refreshing, so when I'm worried about dryness, I want to layer an emulsion or cream on top!

CliniqueClarifying Lotion 1.0An alcohol-free product you can use as a wiping toner. I like it because when I wipe my face with this before doing my skincare, I can really tell that the products absorb better. I like that it doesn't irritate my skin since it's alcohol-free. That said, it is department-store makeup pricing, so I'm using a drugstore alternative for now, but in terms of how it feels to use, the Clinique product is better.

VT CosmeticsLuminous Skin PackThe pads are big and easy to use, but I feel like there's nothing particularly special about them. I use them when I can't be bothered with skincare or don't have time, but they don't moisturize enough so I end up adding a bunch of other stuff anyway. They're not good or bad, just kinda meh. As for making makeup go on better, it's more like...??

VT CosmeticsTX-Toning TonerMaybe it's thanks to the tranexamic acid, but personally, it works wonders on inflamed acne! It's also a huge help that you can use it with any other ingredient!

MatsuyamaHadauru Moisturizing Infusion Balancing LotionThis saved my skin when it was acting up, and I've repurchased it twice! When the seasons changed, my usual skincare routine stopped feeling like enough, and my skin started feeling parched and tight. By evening, it would get itchy and irritated, so I thought, "This is bad," and started using this when I reevaluated my skincare routine. That's when I added Matsuyama's lotion and cream. For me, this combination was really easy to use, and my skin started to calm down, so I've relied on it whenever my skin is acting up ever since. I liked the lotion so much that I've repurchased it twice. I'm usually the type who wants to try all kinds of lotions, but it's really reassuring to have something I can think, "I can use this," when my skin isn't doing well. It worked especially well for me during times when my skin was prone to dryness, tightness, and irritation, like when the seasons change. I want to keep this lotion on hand for whenever my skin acts up in the future.

Hada LaboShirojyun Medicated Whitening Lotion Moist TypeI've been using this for years. It's great value, and I love that I can use it generously from my face to my body. Compared to other moist types, it feels lighter, and I also like that it's less likely to irritate my skin. Some of the other lines can sting a little, but this one is easy to use even when my skin is acting up, and I rely on it when I want to keep my routine simple. In summer, I also recommend adding a vitamin C derivative or something similar for sun care!

manyoPanthetoin Essence TonerIt has a light, lotion-like texture that feels fresh and sinks right into the skin♡ Formulated with panthenol and CeraACT™, it feels like it gives a boost of moisture to skin that's prone to dryness🫧 There's almost no stickiness left behind, so even when I layered it, it didn't feel heavy, and it was easy to use in my morning skincare routine too◎ It leaves my skin feeling plump while the surface stays smooth, and I also love that it doesn't interfere with the serum or cream I apply next. When paired with the cream from the same line, I can first replenish moisture with the Panthetoin Essence Toner, then finish by wrapping it all in with the cream, so it's a combo I want to reach for on days when dryness is bothering me🤍

AlbionSkin Conditioner Essential NMy go-to skincare product that I've been using forever. The smell makes it seem like it might be harsh, but it actually feels refreshing on the skin. It's great for preventing breakouts, of course, and it also helps with pores, so I think I'll keep using it.
