About Tosylamide/Epoxy Resin

Tosylamide/Epoxy Resin is the toluenesulfonamide condensation product of 4,4'-Isopropylidenediphenol/Epichlorohydrin Copolymer. It is also known as epoxy resin. Because it has a structure made of many repeating units linked into a long chain, it can control the flow of a formulation or leave a thin film after drying. Its viscosity and film flexibility vary depending on whether it is cross-linked.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to form a thin film on the surface of the skin, hair, and nails after application and to add flexibility so that a coating or polymer layer does not become excessively hard.[2] The final product of the polymer mainly has the following structure. n is from 0 to approximately 5.[1]
