About Tea-Myristyl Aspartate
Tea-Myristyl Aspartate is an ester in which portions derived from an acid and an alcohol are bonded together.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and dirt rinse away with water and to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[1] In Europe, it is permitted up to 2.5% in leave-on products, while no separate maximum concentration is specified for rinse-off products. Nitrosamines must also be no more than 50 μg/kg.[2]
