About Tea-Lauryl Aspartate
TEA-Lauryl Aspartate is an ester in which parts derived from an acid and an alcohol are bonded.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[1] In Europe, the maximum level is 2.5% in leave-on products, while no separate maximum concentration is specified for rinse-off products. Nitrosamines must also be no more than 50 μg/kg.[2]
