About Tea-Hydrogenated Cocoate
TEA-Hydrogenated Cocoate is the triethanolamine salt of hydrogenated coconut fatty acids.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, and to lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[3] In Europe, the maximum concentration is 2.5% in leave-on products, with no separate maximum concentration set for rinse-off products. Nitrosamines must also be no more than 50 μg/kg.[2]
