About Tea-Cocoyl Sarcosinate

Tea-Cocoyl Sarcosinate is the triethanolamine salt of cocoyl sarcosine.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, to form foam during use, and to reduce hair tangling and rough feel for smoother grooming.[3] It is also used to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[3] In Europe, the maximum level is 2.5% in leave-on products, with no separate maximum concentration specified for rinse-off products. Nitrosamines must also be no higher than 50 μg/kg.[2]
