About Tea-Cocoyl Hydrolyzed Soy Protein
TEA-Cocoyl Hydrolyzed Soy Protein is the triethanolamine salt of the condensation product of coconut acid chloride and hydrolyzed soy protein.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, reduce hair tangling and roughness for smoother grooming, and condition the skin surface to feel soft and smooth.[3] In Europe, it is limited to 2.5% in leave-on products, while no separate maximum concentration is specified for rinse-off products. Nitrosamines must also be no more than 50 μg/kg.[2]
