Tea-Acrylates/Ethylhexyl Acrylate Copolymer is a copolymer of ethylhexyl acrylate and the triethanolamine salt of one or more monomers consisting of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, or their simple esters.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to form a thin film on the surface of skin, hair, and nails after application.[3] In Europe, the maximum concentration is 2.5% in leave-on products; no separate maximum concentration is set for rinse-off products. Nitrosamines must also be no higher than 50 μg/kg.[2]
