About Tallow Alcohol

Tallow Alcohol is a mixture of fatty acids derived from tallow.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and help prevent emulsified water-and-oil systems from separating easily.[2] It is also used to replenish an oily feel to the skin or hair after cleansing and to adjust the viscosity and flow of formulations.[2]
