About Spinal Cord Lipids

Spinal Cord Lipids are lipids derived from spinal cord tissue.[1] In cosmetics, they are used to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, and to leave the skin’s surface soft and smooth.[2] However, they do not fall under ingredients derived from cattle originating in the United Kingdom or Northern Ireland, tissues infected with BSE, ingredients containing such tissues, or ingredients derived from the following specified risk materials from areas where mad cow disease has been reported: 18 parts of ruminants such as cattle, sheep, and goats.[1]
