About Sodium Cocoyl Hydrolyzed Collagen
Sodium Cocoyl Hydrolyzed Collagen is the sodium salt of the condensation product of coconut acid chloride and hydrolyzed collagen.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or cling to one another, reduce tangling and rough feel to leave hair smooth, and leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
