About PEG-75 Lanolin Wax

PEG-75 Lanolin Wax is a polyethylene glycol derivative of lanolin wax with an average of 75 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 75 in the name indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units; for the same base structure, changing this number can also change water miscibility and the viscosity and spreadability of the formulation. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
