About PEG-75 Lanolin Oil

PEG-75 Lanolin Oil is a polyethylene glycol derivative of lanolin oil containing an average of 75 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 75 in the name indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units. For the same base structure, changing this number may affect water compatibility and the formula’s viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed and to lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
