About PEG-75 Dilaurate
PEG-75 Dilaurate is the polyethylene glycol diester of lauric acid.[1] The number 75 in the name represents the average number of ethylene oxide units added. For the same base structure, changing this number may also change water miscibility and the formula's viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed and to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
