About PEG-70 Mango Glycerides

PEG-70 Mango Glycerides are polyethylene glycol derivatives of mono- and diglycerides obtained from mango seed oil, with an average of 70 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 70 indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units; within the same base structure, changing this number may affect water miscibility and the viscosity and spreadability of the formulation. In cosmetics, they are used to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and to reduce surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
