About PEG-70 Lanolin
PEG-70 Lanolin is a polyethylene glycol derivative of lanolin containing an average of 70 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 70 in the name indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units. With the same base structure, changing this number can also change how readily it mixes with water and the formula’s viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water.[2]
