About PEG-70 Hydrogenated Lanolin

PEG-70 Hydrogenated Lanolin is a polyethylene glycol derivative of hydrogenated lanolin containing an average of 70 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 70 in the name indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units; with the same base structure, changing this number may also change water miscibility and the viscosity and spreadability of the formula. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly blended and to lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
