About PEG-60 Passiflora Edulis Seed Glycerides
PEG-60 Passiflora Edulis Seed Glycerides are polyethylene glycol derivatives of mono- and diglycerides derived from passion fruit seed oil, with an average of 60 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 60 in the name indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units. With the same base structure, changing this number can also change water miscibility and the formula’s viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, they are used to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, and to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2]
