About PEG-6 Stearylguanidine
PEG-6 Stearylguanidine is a polyethylene glycol derivative of stearylguanidine containing an average of 6 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 6 indicates the average number of ethylene oxide units added; with the same base structure, changing this number may affect water miscibility and the viscosity and spreadability of the formulation. In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that can make hair strands lift or stick together, and to create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2]
