About PEG-6 Hydrogenated Palm/Palm Kernel Glyceride
PEG-6 Hydrogenated Palm/Palm Kernel Glyceride is a polyethylene glycol derivative of a mixture of hydrogenated palm glycerides and hydrogenated palm kernel glycerides with an average of 6 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 6 in the name indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units; within the same base structure, changing this number may also change water miscibility and the formulation's viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, and to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2]
