About PEG-42 Babassu Glycerides
PEG-42 Babassu Glycerides are polyethylene glycol derivatives of mono- and diglycerides derived from babassu oil, with an average of 42 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 42 in the name indicates the average number of ethylene oxide units added; with the same base structure, changing this number may also change its miscibility with water and the viscosity and spreadability of the formulation. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2]
