About PEG-30 Hydrogenated Castor Oil Triisostearate
PEG-30 Hydrogenated Castor Oil Triisostearate is the triester of hydrogenated castor oil with an average of 30 moles of ethylene oxide and isostearic acid.[1] The number 30 in the name indicates the average number of ethylene oxide units added; for the same base structure, changing this number may also change water miscibility and the viscosity and spreadability of the formulation. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and to control the viscosity and flow of the formulation.[2]
