About PEG-3 Tallow Aminopropylamine
PEG-3 Tallow Aminopropylamine is a polyethylene glycol amine in which R is an alkyl group derived from tallow and X + Y + Z has an average value of 3.[1] The number 3 in the name indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units; within the same base structure, changing this number may affect water miscibility and the formulation's viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, and to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2]
