About PEG-27 Lanolin

PEG-27 Lanolin is a polyethylene glycol derivative of lanolin containing an average of 27 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 27 in the name indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units; for the same base structure, changing this number may also change water miscibility and the formulation's viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed and to lower surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
