About PEG-20 Oleamine
PEG-20 Oleamine is a polyethylene glycol derivative of oleamine.[1] The number 20 in the name indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units. For the same base structure, changing this number may alter water miscibility and the formula’s viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or cling together and to create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2]
