About PEG-2 Lauramine
PEG-2 Lauramine can be described as a polyethylene glycol derivative of laurylamine. The number 2 in the name indicates the average number of ethylene oxide units added, and with the same base structure, changing this number can affect water miscibility as well as the viscosity and spreadability of the formulation.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that can cause hair strands to lift or cling to one another, and to increase the amount of foam and help it remain stable.[2]
