About PEG-15 Tallow Polyamine
PEG-15 Tallow Polyamine is a polyethylene glycol polyamine in which R is an alkyl group derived from tallow, n is between 10 and 20 on average, m is between 2 and 6, and x is between 2 and 4.[1] The number 15 in the name indicates the average number of ethylene oxide units added; within the same base structure, changing this number may also change water miscibility and the formula’s viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together and to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2]
