About PEG-15 Hydrogenated Lanolin
PEG-15 Hydrogenated Lanolin is a polyethylene glycol derivative of hydrogenated lanolin containing an average of 15 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 15 in the name indicates the average number of ethylene oxide units added. For the same base structure, changing this number can alter water miscibility and the formulation’s viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, and to create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly blended.[2]
