About PEG-15 Cocamine

PEG-15 Cocamine is a polyethylene glycol derivative of cocamine.[1] The number 15 in the name indicates the average number of ethylene oxide units added; with the same base structure, changing this number may alter water dispersibility and the formula’s viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly blended, and to reduce surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
