About PEG-12 Palm Kernel Glycerides
PEG-12 Palm Kernel Glycerides are polyethylene glycol derivatives of the mono- and diglycerides of palm kernel oil, containing an average of 12 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 12 in the name indicates the average number of ethylene oxide units added. For the same base structure, changing this number may affect water miscibility and the viscosity and spreadability of the formulation. In cosmetics, they are used to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2]
