About PEG-12 Carnauba

PEG-12 Carnauba is a polyethylene glycol derivative of carnauba containing an average of 12 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 12 in the name indicates the average number of ethylene oxide units added. With the same base structure, changing this number may also change water miscibility and the viscosity and spreadability of the formula. In cosmetics, it is used to help keep emulsions of water and oil from separating easily.[2]
