About PEG-11 Cocoa Butter Glycerides

PEG-11 Cocoa Butter Glycerides are polyethylene glycol derivatives of mono- and diglycerides derived from cocoa butter with 11 moles of ethylene oxide added.[1] The number 11 in the name indicates the average number of ethylene oxide units added; for the same base structure, changing this number may affect water miscibility and the formula's viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, they are used to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel and to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly blended.[2]
