About PEG-10 Stearamine

PEG-10 Stearamine is a polyethylene glycol derivative of stearylamine.[1] The number 10 in the name indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units; within the same base structure, changing this number may affect water miscibility and the formula’s viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together and to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly blended.[2]
