About PEG-10 Lanolin

PEG-10 Lanolin is a polyethylene glycol derivative of lanolin with an average of 10 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 10 in the name indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units; with the same base structure, changing this number may also change water miscibility and the viscosity and spreadability of the formulation. In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction on the skin or hair, add a smooth feel, and create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2]
