About PEG-10 Hydrogenated Lanolin
PEG-10 Hydrogenated Lanolin is a polyethylene glycol derivative of hydrogenated lanolin with an average of 10 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 10 in the name indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units. For the same base structure, changing this number may also change water compatibility and the formula’s viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction on the skin or hair, add a smooth feel, and create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly blended.[2]
