About Ouricury Wax
Ouricury Wax is a wax exuded from the leaves of the ouricury palm.[1] Because it is primarily composed of fatty components obtained from the leaves of the ouricury palm, it mixes better with oils than with water and is suitable for adding slip and a flexible feel to the skin or hair while reducing the sensation of moisture evaporating quickly. In cosmetics, it is used to help ingredients in a formulation bind together and maintain its form, and to adjust the formulation’s viscosity and flow.[2]
