About Maltodextrin Laurate
Maltodextrin laurate is a polysaccharide consisting of linked sugar units.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly; to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed; and to increase the amount of foam and help it remain stable.[1] It is also used to help sebum and impurities be washed away with water, to keep solid particles or droplets evenly dispersed rather than clumped together, and to adjust dispersibility and sensory properties by changing the properties of solid particles or surfaces.[1]
