About Madhuca Longifolia Sophorolipids
Madhuca Longifolia Sophorolipids are glycolipids obtained by fermenting fatty acids derived from Madhuca Longifolia seed oil and glucose with a type of microorganism.[1] In cosmetics, they are used to slow the oxidation of formulation ingredients caused by reaction with oxygen, manage shine caused by sebum and scalp and skin condition, and help sebum and impurities wash away with water.[2] They are also used to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and to reduce surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
