About Lecithinamide DEA
Lecithinamide DEA is an ingredient that acts at the interface between water and oil.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that makes hair strands lift or stick together, increase the amount of foam and help it remain stable, and reduce tangling and roughness to leave hair smooth and conditioned.[1] It is also used to adjust the viscosity and flow of formulations.[1] In Europe, the secondary amine content of finished products is limited to a maximum of 0.5%, and nitrosamine content must not exceed 50 μg/kg.[2]
