About Hydrogenated Tallowamide DEA

Hydrogenated Tallowamide DEA is a mixture of ethanolamides of fatty acids derived from hydrogenated tallow.[1] It is a raw material derived from the fatty acids of hydrogenated tallow. In cosmetics, it is used to increase the amount of foam and help it last longer, keep the formulation's condition and properties from changing readily during storage, and lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[3] It is also used to adjust the viscosity and flow of formulations.[3] In Europe, the secondary amine content of finished products is limited to a maximum of 0.5%, and the nitrosamine content must not exceed 50 μg/kg.[2]
