About Hydrogenated Tallow Amide
Hydrogenated Tallow Amide is an amide.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed, help prevent separation of the water-and-oil emulsion, and reduce hair tangling and roughness for smoother grooming.[2] It is also used to reduce light transmission so the contents appear less translucent, lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly, and adjust the viscosity and flow of the formulation.[2]
