About Hydrogenated Sesame Seed Oil
Hydrogenated Sesame Seed Oil is the ingredient ultimately obtained by hydrogenating sesame oil under controlled conditions.[1] Because it is primarily composed of fatty components obtained from hydrogenated sesame seeds, it mixes better with oil than water and is suitable for adding slip and a supple feel to skin or hair while reducing the feeling of moisture evaporating quickly. In cosmetics, it is used to help ingredients in a formula bind together and maintain its form, to help keep water-and-oil emulsions from separating easily, and to reduce tangling and rough feel in hair for smoother conditioning.[2] It is also used to leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth.[2]
