About Hydrogenated Camellia Japonica Seed Oil

Hydrogenated Camellia Japonica Seed Oil is obtained by controlled hydrogenation of Camellia japonica seed oil.[1] Because it is mainly composed of fatty components obtained from Camellia japonica seeds, it mixes more readily with oil than water and is suitable for adding slip and a supple feel to skin or hair while reducing the feeling of moisture evaporating quickly. In cosmetics, it is used to slow oxidation of formula ingredients caused by reaction with oxygen, reduce friction on skin or hair and add a smooth feel, and help keep oil-and-water emulsions from separating easily.[2] It is also used to draw moisture to the formula and skin’s surface to help maintain hydration, and to leave the skin’s surface feeling soft and smooth.[2]
