About Hazelnut Seed Oil PEG-8 Esters
Hazelnut Seed Oil PEG-8 Esters are an oil containing lipids collected from seeds.[1] They are a form of hazelnut seed oil in which an average of 8 ethylene oxide units has been added to its fatty components to make it easier to disperse in water, making it easier to use with emulsifiers than the original seed oil. In cosmetics, they are used to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, to help prevent separation of the emulsion, and to smooth and refine the skin's surface.[1] They are also used to lower surface tension so that raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[1]
