About Ericerus Pela Wax

Ericerus Pela Wax is a refined wax secreted by Ericerus Pela, a scale insect found on the stems of Chinese ash trees, and is a mixture of hexacosyl esters.[1] Because it is composed mainly of fatty constituents obtained from stems, it mixes better with oil than water and is suitable for adding slip and a soft feel to the skin or hair while reducing the feeling of moisture evaporating quickly. In cosmetics, it is used to leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth and to adjust the viscosity and flow of the formula.[2]
