About Diethylene Glycol Rosinate

Diethylene Glycol Rosinate is an ester of acids obtained from rosin and diethylene glycol.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help formula ingredients bind together and maintain their form, increase formula volume and control the amount of solids, and remove hair from the skin surface.[2] It is also used to form a thin film on the skin, hair, and nail surfaces after application and to add flexibility so that films or polymer layers do not become excessively rigid.[2]
