About Cedrus Atlantica Wood Oil
Atlas cedar wood oil is a volatile oil obtained from the wood of Atlas cedar.[1] Volatile components from Atlas cedar wood contribute to the initial impression of the fragrance and the lingering scent after application, and it tends to evaporate more readily than ordinary vegetable oils. In cosmetics, it is used to add fragrance to products or adjust the characteristic odor of raw materials.[4] In Korea, it cannot be used in cosmetics when it is an oil or extract with a peroxide value exceeding 10 mmol/L.[2] In Europe, only raw materials with a peroxide value below 10 mmol/L may be used.[3]
