About Capryl/Lauryl Wheat Bran/Straw Glycosides
Capryl/Lauryl Wheat Bran/Straw Glycosides are raw materials obtained by glycosylating a mixture of monosaccharides derived from hydrolyzed wheat bran and hydrolyzed wheat straw with capryl and lauryl alcohols.[1] In cosmetics, they are used to help sebum and impurities be rinsed away with water, create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and increase the amount of foam and help it resist collapsing easily.[2] They are also used to help prevent the formulation's condition and properties from changing easily during storage, reduce surface tension so ingredients can become wetted, mix, and spread evenly, and adjust the formulation's viscosity and flow.[2]
